Individual Donations

2013 Championship Challenge

After winning the 2012 IndyCar Championship, Ryan Hunter-Reay was faced with a dilemma.  He was allowed to run the #1, but his heart told him to keep running the #28 as he dedicated this number to the 28 million living with cancer today. Ryan quickly realized he could do both and with the support of Andretti Autosport and IndyCar, Ryan now runs the #1 with a small 28 embedded in the number. For Ryan it was simple…”One Goal, Beat Cancer!”
Will you help Ryan achieve his goal? For a donation of only $28 by race fans and supporters worldwide, we can make unparalleled progress toward our mission and be a leader in the global fight against cancer! We need to do our best to unite as many fans and supporters worldwide to help 28 million people living with cancer today! May we count on you?
Racing For Cancer was founded in 2010 in honor of Lydia Hunter-Reay, who lost her battle with colon cancer in November 2009. Since then, we have tried to build a charity aimed at building awareness for early detection and prevention to help save the lives of people who won’t have to hear those dreaded words, “You have cancer!”. Today, after two and a half exciting growth years, we are really just getting started! We plan to launch new programs to raise awareness for early detection and prevention in the future.
BUT, WE NEED YOUR HELP! Will you make a minimum donation today of $28? Tell your friends via email or by using our convenient links to Twitter and Facebook and ask as many people as possible to donate just $28. Together we can help beat this disease…one fan at a time!
With your donation, you are, “Helping pick up the pace!”
